We work closely with designers and engineers from the earliest concept stages of vehicle and component projects, through to prototyping and final production.
Our liaison engineers and project managers are often seconded to customers to provide support where it is needed most, in particular, to aid the introduction of new processes or products.
Our expert engineering support and consultative services can advise on component design and formability, material optimisation and complex tooling issues, providing high levels of customer satisfaction, with cost effective solutions. Furthermore, Automotive can also undertake parts prototyping and studies through to manufacturing feasibility and cost estimation. Corus Automotive's advanced on-site quality control Laboratory, has the facility to undertake micro level measurement of weld geometry and dome height testing, pre/post heat-affected zone analysis.
Further to this the ND YAG process line has a unique inline weld integrity inspection system incorporates TEMATE™. This system measures (inline) the integrity of the weld, checking for blowholes and perosity, automatically rejecting any components which are out of specification, ensuring 100% fit for purpose parts.
Corus Automotive have their own CAD design facilities which enable them to provide an onsite material optimisation service. This work has resulted in many successful design and engineering solutions.
