We give customers access to the widest range of strip steels available from a single source, ex-stock or processed to order. This is achievable through our relationship with Corus and other leading, internationally renowned steel producers.
This ensures that we can supply the optimum material, or combination of grades and specifications, for each project or application.
Continuous investment in advanced processing facilities enables Corus Strip Products Service Centres to meet the widest range of requirements for production-ready material. Services range from high speed slitting and multi-strand blanking, to decoiling, shearing, pressworking, notching and piercing.

Slitting
With nine slitters and a capacity of over 500,000 tones Corus Service Centres has the UK's biggest slitting capability. This enables a fast turnaround of orders while guaranteeing continuity of supply and a consistent, reliable service. Slit tolerances of +/- 0.125mm can be achieved, and a range of coil outside diameters are possible to enable customers to obtain the maximum productivity from their processing equipment.
Multi-Strand blanking
Eight multi-strand blankers enable us to provide tight tolerance blanks to +/- 0.25mm for direct feed into customers' machines, thus reducing waste.
Decoiling
Decoiling produces sheets and plates which retain the width profile of the parent coil from the steel mill, and are thus suitable where laser cutting or punching are used. Corus Service Centres offer decoiled products from 0.4mm to 15mm in the full range of steel grades.
Shearing
A combination of manual and automatic shears enable the economic production of small blanks in large or small volumes.
Laser cutting
We can offer laser cutting to provide precision shaped blanks free of edge burr for ease of handling and no additional working.
