Our highly trained technical and sales teams have enormous experience of working with customers to help develop and manufacture products. They can advise on material performance, selection and processing. This can play a key part in enabling customers to improve product quality whilst reducing costs and yield loss.
Customers can also draw on the resources of Corus’s Research, Development and Technology Centres. These Centres can offer expert advice in metallurgy, fabrication processes, Finite Element Analysis, and standards and requirements of testing and product performance.
Specialised support is also available for customers using, or wishing to use, pre-finished steels.
For maximum accuracy and efficiency, our Strip Products Service Centres have sophisticated stock management, logistics and IT systems. These allow order and supply details to be checked instantly. Allied to flexible production planning they enable us to minimise order lead times, and support everything from small spot orders to major just in time delivery programmes.
Closing the gap still further between order and delivery, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) facilities link customers with Corus and facilitate fast, accurate estimation, purchasing and stock control.
Quality Assured
As part of Corus we have the guarantee of a quality assured supply of steel and plate direct from our own mills, which helps minimise the risk of errors as great care is taken to ensure material quality is maintained from processing and storage to final delivery.
We are accredited to ISO 9001:2000 by UKAS approved bodies and hold many customer quality certificates.
